Light rail: Seatac Airport is about 30 miles outside Seattle, making cabs pricey. Fortunately, the light rail is a convenient and inexpensive way to get from the airport to downtown. It’s super-easy. Just follow the signs in the terminal to the light rail. The signs will guide you to a parking garage just outside the terminal, where you’ll follow a path to the light rail. When you get to the station, buy a ticket from the kiosk. It’s $2.75 for a one-way ticket, and the kiosks accept credit and debit.

Trains run every 7-15 minutes depending on the time of day. The airport is the end of the light-rail line, so it’s not possible to go the wrong way. Board the train and take it to the other end of the line — Westlake Station.

In Westlake Station (an underground stop), exit on Fifth Street. To get to the Sheraton Hotel, walk northeast on Pine toward Sixth Street. Go right on Sixth. You’ll reach the Sheraton in about a block, at Sixth and Pike. To get to the Warwick Hotel, head southwest on Pine and turn right onto Fifth. Make a slight left to stay on Fifth. Turn left onto Lenora after about three blocks. You’ll reach the Warwick in less than a block.

Shuttles & cabs: You can also schedule a Shuttle Express ride (about $20/person), which will take you from the airport to the Sheraton or another downtown location. Cabs cost about $40-$50 because of the distance.
