What should I pack?

Summer in Seattle is beautiful, with sunny days in the 70s and nighttime lows in the 50s. You’ll want to bring a lightweight jacket, particularly for the cruise and the wedding, which are both on the water. Seattle is also quite hilly, so good walking sneakers are recommended.

If you want to partake in any of the many outdoorsy activities here (kayaking, hiking, cycling, etc.), bring comfortable clothes that can get dirty.

Seattle’s sun is deceptively strong. Be sure to wear sunscreen and bring sunglasses.

What should I wear to the wedding?

After some Internet research, we’ve decided “cocktail attire” is probably the best description. “Semi-formal” works, too.

The welcome cruise is for adults only. Who will watch my children?

Please get in touch by emailing rainey.isaguirre@gmail.com, and we can help you find a babysitter. We know potential babysitters, and there are babysitting services, too.

How will I get to the cruise?

The cruise leaves from Lake Union Park, just a mile north of the hotels. You can get to the cruise by foot, cab, bus or trolley, and they’re all pretty easy. Visit the Welcome Cruise page for more details .

We’ll be calling a bunch of cabs to pick guests up after the cruise.

How will I get to the wedding?

We recommend that out-of-town guests take cabs to the wedding ceremony at Ray’s Northwest Room (it’s about a 20-minute ride from downtown Seattle, and the Sheraton staff can help hail you a cab). We will be providing transportation back to the Sheraton after the wedding reception.

But what if I need to leave the wedding earlier?

The valet stand at the wedding venue can help call you a cab.

I’m driving to the wedding. How do I get there and where do I park?

Click on “Directions” to get step-by-step directions to Ray’s Northwest Room, 6049 Seaview Ave. NW, Seattle. Ray’s has free valet parking.
